Shivers Flavored Ice Cubes are produced and distributed by Southern California Ice in Torrance, CA, which has produced quality ice products for home use since 1935. The company remains one of the oldest and successful ice producers in the western United States.
Shivers is a collaborative creation of the company’s marketing division. After observing restaurant and bar patrons consuming different beverages, they wondered how “flavored ice cubes” could enhance the experience. From a simple glass of water to your favorite cocktail, the possibilities appeared to be endless.
After a period of development, testing and tweaking-Shivers Flavored Ice Cubes was born in 1998. Consumers quickly discovered Shivers in the frozen food section of their local grocer. Whether it’s Shivers lemon cubes in iced tea, the tang of lime in a cocktail, or dropping a few cubes in a post-workout smoothie, the list of uses for this flexible product goes on. Over the years loyal customers have expanded the uses of Shivers and post “creations” on social media.
The area’s largest retailers have carried Shivers Flavored Ice Cubes food for decades including: Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Whole Foods, Gelson’s and more. The company is regularly contacted by consumers outside the distribution region on how they can purchase Shivers. The parent company, Southern California Ice, is now looking to expand its distribution footprint.
Shivers is produced in three delicious flavors; Lemon, Lime and Mandarin Orange. Each flavor is made with the finest ingredients and completely natural without any sugar or preservatives. Quality, convenience, innovation and a burst of taste all in an ice cube!
